Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) - Senior Meetings & Education Manager

2017 - 2019

  • Managed the RFP, vendor selection, contract negotiations and implementation of the society's first Learning Management System, enabling society to provide online education to both members and nonmembers, as well as bring in non-dues revenue.

  • Coordinated the logistical details relating to stand-alone live and online educational programs including speaker confirmations, coordination with internal and external vendors, course material preparation and production.

  • Oversaw the abstract submission and selection process for the SPR Annual Meeting & Postgraduate Course with over 1,000 submissions and two planning committees.

  • Organized the approval of continuing medical education programs, including serving as a resource for volunteer leadership regarding current status of CME requirements and making appropriate filings with provider organization.

  • Liaison for the Education Curriculum Committee which involved interacting with society leadership and speakers for conferences including in-person, telephone, emails and written communication.

  • Coordinated the content collection and development of marketing materials for educational courses.

  • Maintained the society website with up-to-date information and resources using basic HTML.

  • Prepared educational grant applications in order to solicit commercial support for programs.

American College of Radiology (ACR) - Continuing Medical Education Specialist

2015 - 2017

  • Trained staff in the development of needs assessments, professional practice gaps, learning objectives, exam test item writing, evaluations and outcomes measurement, and resolving potential conflict of interest.

  • Managed the reporting of educational activities to maintain accreditation status with the ACCME, ABR and ARRT.

  • Recommended specific changes to certified educational activities based upon evaluation feedback, best practices and regulatory compliance standards.

  • Developed training materials for program managers on how to utilize various online systems to develop programs.

  • Reviewed and proposed edits to various LOA’s and vendor contracts.

  • Developed policies and procedures to remove redundancy and streamline the workflow around radiology residency in-training exam development.

  • Managed the communication and inquiries from residents and program directors for two international exams (DXIT & TXIT).

NAIOP, The Commercial Real Estate Association - Education Program Specialist

2014 - 2015

  • Provided online certificate course production, including software management, customer service, scripting and flow of class.

  • Coordinated with conference instructors, staff and education committee to update content and formatting of instructional material.

  • Scheduled and trained instructors on the use of online technology and techniques to improve interaction with learners.

  • Provided customer service to certificate program registrants, including the release of informational emails, reminders, instructional and learning materials, course login instructions and attendance reporting.

  • Oversaw the site selection, registration, content development and other logistical functions of hosted course series.

  • Developed ongoing participant evaluation and needs assessment data collection, summary and analysis for all educational activities.

  • Scheduled and hosted conference planning committee meetings, tracked deadlines, assisted with speaker recruitment.

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) - Education Program Specialist

2011 - 2014

  • Managed the work-flow of several hundred individuals to develop the educational program for the society’s Annual Meeting which includes 400+ speakers across 70+ sessions.

  • Provided all educational content and training for the technology tools used to coordinate the activities of 11,000 Annual Meeting attendees; technology tools include the ASTRO Mobile App, Online Conference Planner and Wayfinders.

  • Coordinated the development of key meeting publications; including the Final Meeting Program and Pocket Program.

  • Interfaced with IT team to ensure implementation of an adherence to various accreditation bodies.

  • Participated in the Reaccreditation Task Force which resulted in Accreditation with Commendation.

  • Oversaw the update and re-design of the ASTRO Speaker Resource Center.

  • Served as liaison to the ASTRO Annual Meeting Education Committee which includes over 40 volunteers.

Reston Pediatric Associates - Project Manager

2008 - 2011

  • Worked directly with Practice Administrator and Human Resources Director to manage office operations.

  • Transitioned the office from a paper to an electronic health records environment with a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Managed the update of a physician credentialing database and company website.

  • Established and maintained key vendor and patient relationships.

  • Posted payments and handled claims for billing department utilizing Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and ICD-9 coding.
